The temperature in our part of the world has been around 100°F for a few days, and it’ll be that hot again today and tomorrow. But then a strong cold front will be coming through, and the high later this week — the high! in July! in north Texas! — will be in the high 70s!
In case you don’t realize it, that’s amazing.
As I was out pouring gallons of water on my herb garden, listening to the cicadas and fading from the heat, I reminded myself of the years that we’ve had temps of well over 105°F. Ooh, that one year when the highs were 110°, 112°…no, this year hasn’t been anything like that (so far). So, really, I can’t really complain.
But it is hot. 100°F is hot. But it’s only for two more days!
