Things are better than the last time we spoke.

I’m still working on Oktoberfest, but it’s only for a few more weeks, you know? Then I’ll never, ever have anything to do with it again (hand to God). I can stand it that long!

My work for Debbie is chugging along, and still involves trying to juggle forty pieces of broken glass (well, okay, that’s a slight exaggeration), but we’re moving forward. Today I got to do some of the particular stuff that I find most interesting, and my boss (Debbie) and the clients I talked to were pretty cheerful. I’m counting that as a win.

My kidney stone is now a non-issue. I guess it must have been working its way through some especially tight space when it was hurting before. Nothing, not a twinge, since then.

I got the laundry sorted, and even mostly done. This morning, every single pair of pants hanging in my closet was clean. I hated to mess it up by putting one of them on. But, of course, I did.

And, though I hesitate to spend the money, we’re ordering Chinese tonight. And I opened one of these odd wine-by-the-glass things someone gave me last year as a sample (as a way to avoid having to pour wine during Oktoberfest). It’s not bad for 7-11 wine!

Yes, that IS a snap-on lid beside it.

And Richie gave me Season Five of Justified (seasons 1 through 4 were included free with our Amazon Prime) for my birthday. We might just watch one tonight! Or maybe we’ll go back and watch the last part of Season Four, and savor the anticipation of Season Five.

Because that’s just the kind of day it is.
