Well, that was a mighty pause, wasn’t it? I haven’t been away, or ignoring my blog(s). I’ve been migrating them to WordPress, and it’s been a bear-and-a-half. Seriously. There were many, many compounding problems, first with redirects, then with what appeared to be DNS errors but actually turned out to be a server issue that only my hosting company could resolve, then a database hiccup. (Well, okay, my late father, a WWII pilot, would have called that one “cockpit trouble,” i.e., a problem with the pilot, not the plane.) That resulted in my losing a couple of posts, and it took some ingenuity to get them back. (Ingenuity and Bing’s cache. Thank you Bing!)

Anyway, I’m finally back to the point where all I’m dealing with is just theme mysteries. WordPress has kicked my metaphorical behind almost continuously since I started using it, but I will prevail. I will not be defeated by a piece of software.
