I think I&#8217;m back\u2026."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, that was a mighty pause, wasn&#8217;t it? I haven&#8217;t been away, or ignoring my blog(s). I&#8217;ve been migrating them to WordPress, and it&#8217;s been a bear-and-a-half. <em>Seriously<\/em>.\u00a0There were many, many compounding problems, first with redirects, then with what appeared to be DNS errors but actually turned out to be a server issue that only my hosting company could resolve, then a database hiccup. (Well, okay, my late father, a\u00a0WWII pilot, would have called that one\u00a0&#8220;cockpit trouble,&#8221; i.e., a problem with the pilot, not the plane.) That resulted in my losing a couple of posts, and it took some ingenuity to get them back. (Ingenuity and Bing&#8217;s cache. Thank you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bing.com\/\">Bing<\/a>!)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway,\u00a0I&#8217;m finally back to the point where all I&#8217;m dealing with is just theme mysteries. WordPress has kicked my metaphorical behind almost continuously since I started using it, but I <strong>will<\/strong> prevail.
